BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 3. The volume of individuals' deposits in Azerbaijani banks amounted to 14.5 billion manat ($8.53 billion) as of the end of February this year.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank (CBA) indicates that 9.6 billion manat or $5.68 billion (66.4 percent) of individuals' deposits accounted for national currency, while 4.8 billion manat or $2.87 billion (33.6 percent) - foreign currency.
The deposit portfolio of individuals consisted of 8.8 billion manat or $5.17 billion (60.6 percent) in term deposits.
The term deposits of individuals grew by 0.7 percent ($33.9 million) or 57.8 million manat ($33.9 million) this February.
The dollarization of individuals' deposits in the reporting month decreased by 2.3 percentage points compared to the same period last year, standing at 33 percent.
