BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 7. The volume of cargo transported by vessels owned by Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Closed Joint-Stock Company (ASCO) during the first quarter of 2025 has been announced, Trend reports via ASCO.
During the specified reporting interval, ASCO's fleet of tankers
facilitated the transportation of a cumulative volume of 1,034,039
tons of liquid cargo.
In the specified timeframe, a total of 7,905 railway wagons and
9,050 motor vehicles were efficiently transited via ferry
vessels.
Moreover, a total of 441,322 tons of freight were conveyed via
universal dry cargo carriers throughout the designated reporting
timeframe.
To note, ASCO’s ferries and Ro-Pax vessels transported a total of 39,734 vehicles and 37,337 railcars, universal dry cargo ships carried 911,000 tons of cargo, and the volume of cargo transported by tankers reached 4.2 million tons in 2024.
