BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 8. Azerbaijan imported sturgeon roe from China, totaling 580 kilograms in January 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates
that the expenditure associated with the procurement of this volume
of roe totaled $175,200.
The volume of sturgeon roe procured from China experienced an
uptick of 70 kilograms, translating to a 13.7 percent escalation
relative to the corresponding timeframe of the previous year, while
the monetary valuation surged by $21,000, reflecting a 13.6 percent
increment.
In the interim, Azerbaijan engaged in the procurement of 510
kilograms of sturgeon roe, with a valuation of $154,200, sourced
from China during the month of January in the year 2024.
The mean valuation of sturgeon roe procured from China in the
current fiscal year was established at $302 (513.5 manat) per
kilogram, exhibiting no variance relative to the preceding
annum.
Azerbaijan additionally facilitated the exportation of sturgeon roe
to Albania and the UAE throughout the specified reporting
period.
