BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 9. The number of active taxpayers in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic reached 20,192 by April 1, 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's State Tax Service shows that
this metric demonstrates a year-over-year escalation of 19.2
percent.
In the interim, the cohort of active VAT contributors experienced
an uptick of 18.9 percent, culminating in a total of 572, while the
aggregate of operational entities, or business units, escalated by
7.6 percent, reaching a figure of 6,005.
Overall, the number of active taxpayers in Azerbaijan grew by
0.3 percent as of April 1 of this year, compared to the beginning
of the year to 809,200, and the number of active VAT payers - by
2.9 percent to 54,400.
