BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 16. Azerbaijan produced 1,302 passenger cars and 28 trucks from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that passenger car production saw a significant rise, increasing by 2.1 times, with an additional 695 cars produced compared to the same period last year. However, truck production decreased sharply by 86 percent, with a drop of 172 units.
Meanwhile, the inventory of finished passenger cars stood at 134 units, while the inventory of trucks was recorded at 15 units as of April 1, 2025.
In total, the production of machinery, equipment, and vehicles, including automobiles, trailers, and semi-trailers, amounted to 144.1 million manat ($84.7 million) in the first quarter of 2025.
Compared to the same period last year, machinery and equipment production rose by 20.9 percent, while the production of automobiles, trailers, and semi-trailers increased by 3.1 percent.
Tractor production reached 124 units, marking a decrease of 25.3 percent compared to the same period last year.
