ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 16. Specialists from the Business Transformation Center of Kazakhstan Railways have developed robots that automate the collection and processing of information from various sources as part of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, Trend reports.

According to the Kazakhstan Railways press service, these tools significantly reduce the time required to prepare analytics and minimize the impact of the human factor.

"To interact with external audiences, a Telegram bot was created and integrated with the center’s Telegram channel. This solution has become a convenient communication channel for prompt updates and information sharing. Additionally, an automated alert system has been implemented to instantly notify responsible staff in the event of digital process disruptions, enabling rapid response and preventing data loss," the company stated.

The goal of all these initiatives is to accelerate data processing and analysis, reduce time and operational costs, and enhance the transparency and manageability of the overall system.

The Business Transformation Center, together with the Directorate for Automation and Digitalization, is also implementing a pilot project aimed at introducing unmanned technologies into infrastructure maintenance.

“This involves the use of drones and industrial robots to inspect railway infrastructure facilities. This approach enables timely monitoring of tracks, bridges, and other structures, reduces the need for constant on-site staff presence, and ensures access to hard-to-reach or potentially hazardous areas,” Kazakhstan Railways added.

The company emphasized that such projects play a key role in its strategic course toward digital transformation and contribute to enhancing the safety, resilience, and efficiency of the railway sector.
