Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that this figure is 29,800 tons or 17,8 percent less compared to the same period of 2024 (167,000 tons)
Meanwhile, the volume of ready urea stock in the country stood at 28,100 tons as of April 1, 2025.
A whopping 554.9 million manat ($326.4 million) worth of products were manufactured during the reporting period in the fields of chemical industry, pharmaceutical products, and rubber and plastic materials. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the production of pharmaceutical products increased by 43.3 percent, chemical industry products by 1.9 percent, while the production of rubber and plastic items decreased by 1.8 percent.
Among chemical industry products, the production of paints and varnishes increased by 38.1 percent, polyethylene by 0.5 percent, while the production of ethylene dropped by 2.3 percent and propylene by 10.4 percent. In the category of rubber and plastic goods, the production of rigid plastic pipes, tubes, fittings, and hoses decreased by 3 percent, and polyethylene-based bags and sacks dropped by 38.6 percent.
