BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 16. Rebar production in Azerbaijan experienced a modest rise, reaching 86,500 tons from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that this figure represents an increase of 2,100 tons, or 2.5 percent, compared to the same period of 2024 (84,400 tons).
Moreover, the volume of ready-to-use rebar reserves in the country stood at 44,100 tons as of April 1, 2025.
The metallurgy and fabricated metal products sectors produced goods worth 285.6 million manat ($168 million) during the same period. However, compared to the previous year, the metallurgy industry saw an 8 percent decline in production, while output in the fabricated metal products segment fell by 18.1 percent.
During the reporting period, notable decreases were also observed in the production of copper wire (down 90.3 percent), steel casting (down 11.5 percent), and other metal goods (down 40.3 percent).
