ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 18. Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has touched down in the Mangystau region of Kazakhstan for a working trip, where he aims to get the lay of the land and take the bull by the horns at several key facilities, Trend reports.
As part of the visit, Tokayev conducted a site inspection of the wholesale distribution hub in Aktau, which has emerged as the inaugural facility of its category within the regional landscape.
"The center is strategically important for ensuring food security, reducing the number of intermediaries, and lowering food prices. The new complex covers an area of 80,000 square meters, with a storage capacity of 40,000 tons. The project has received an investment of 5 billion tenge (approximately $9.5 million). The second phase of the facility is expected to be launched in the coming months," said a statement from the press service of the President of Kazakhstan.
At present, agreements are being executed with key domestic
vendors, which will enhance the operational efficacy of the center
and bolster the local economic landscape.
During his operational excursion to the Mangystau region, the
President of Kazakhstan is set to convene a strategic dialogue
focused on the region's socio-economic advancement.
