BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 19. Azerbaijan exported over 558,700 tons of crude oil and oil products derived from bituminous rocks to the Czech Republic from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that the revenue generated from this export amounted to $304.7 million.
Moreover, Azerbaijan's exports of crude oil and oil products from bituminous rocks to the Czech Republic in the first quarter increased by more than 388,400 tons, or 3.3 times, in volume, and rose by $206.6 million, or 3.1 times, in value, compared to the same period in 2024 (170,300 tons, worth $98.1 million).
Meanwhile, the total volume of crude oil and oil products derived from bituminous rocks exported by Azerbaijan from January through March 2025 amounted to over 6 million tons, with a total value of $3.33 billion.
This represents a decrease of 411,000 tons, or 7.3 percent, and a reduction of $153 million, or 4.4 percent, in value compared to the same period last year.
In the first quarter of 2024, Azerbaijan's total exports of crude oil and oil products from bituminous rocks amounted to 5.6 million tons, valued at $3.49 billion.
