BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 19. Agricultural expenditures in the state budget of Azerbaijan, according to the functional classification, amounted to 334.5 million manat ($196 million) in the first quarter of this year.
Data obtained by Trend from the Ministry of Finance shows that this figure decreased by 7.5 million manat ($4.4 million), or 2.2 percent, compared to the same period last year. Specifically, in the first quarter of last year, agricultural expenditures in the state budget were 342 million manat ($200 million).
To note, in the first quarter of this year, the state budget's revenues amounted to 9.7 billion manat ($5.7 billion), expenditures were 8.1 billion manat ($4.7 billion), resulting in a state budget surplus (profit) of 1.6 billion manat ($940 million).
The state budget revenues exceeded the forecast of 9.56 billion manat ($5.6 billion) by 171.3 million manat ($100 million), or 1.8 percent. Compared to the same period in 2024, this figure grew by 5.4 percent, or 499.2 million manat ($292 million), which is equivalent to 25.4 percent of the annual state budget revenues for this year.
The state budget expenditures amounted to 8.1 billion manat ($4.7 billion), accounting for 19.6 percent of the total annual state budget expenditures.
