BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. Azerbaijan exported 130,600 tons of crude oil and crude oil products obtained from bituminous rocks worth $73.4 million to the UK in the first quarter of this year.
Data obtained by Trend from the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee indicates that the export value rose by $62.5 million (6.7 times) and the volume - by 110,000 tons (6.3 percent) year on year.
During the period, the UK took the 8th position among the top importers of Azerbaijani oil.
To note, Azerbaijan exported six million tons of petroleum products to 13 countries, generating $3.3 billion in revenue from January through March 2025.
The exported items included oil and petroleum products derived from bituminous rocks, excluding crude oil, and those with a petroleum content of 70 percent or more by weight.
The export volume increased by 7.3 percent, or more than 411,100 tons, compared to the same period last year. However, in value terms, oil product exports fell by 4.4 percent, amounting to a decrease of around $153.5 million.
