ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 21. The extended administrative meeting under the leadership of the Akim of Abai district of Kazakhstan, Berik Uali considered the results of socio-economic development of the district for the first quarter of 2025, as well as the issues of budget funds utilization, Trend reports.
Berik Uali highlighted that the region has experienced a decline in key sectors, including mining and manufacturing industries, investment attraction, transportation services, agriculture, construction, and housing development. Specifically, the city of Semei and five districts were unable to fully meet their quarterly investment targets.
"According to the Financial Department, the revenue plan for the 2025 budget is set at 441.61 billion tenge (approximately $841,052). The first quarter results showed that the overall budget was executed as planned, with own revenues exceeding expectations. The Abai Region ranked third in budget expenditure execution among all regions and cities of national importance," stated the press service of the Abai Akimat (local government).
Following the meeting, the akim instructed deputies, heads of departments, municipal and district akims to take measures to ensure full implementation of the approved plans for all key indicators. Moreover, emphasis was placed on the need to achieve the main goals of socio-economic development of the region.
