BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 8. Azerbaijan exported approximately 10,300 tons of methanol to Israel from January through February 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that such an export generated around $3.4 million in revenue for the country.
Meanwhile, methanol exports to Israel decreased significantly compared to the same period last year, with the quantity dropping by 12,400 tons, or 2.2 times as much, and the value declining by around $931,000, or 21.7 percent. In the first two months of 2024, Azerbaijan had exported around 22,700 tons of methanol to Israel, worth about $4.3 million.
To note, Azerbaijan exported a total of 61,900 tons of methanol, valued at $19.8 million, during the reporting period. Among the nations engaging in the procurement of methanol from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Israel, and Slovenia emerged as the predominant stakeholders in this market segment.
