BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 8. Azerbaijan exported 3,800 tons of copper ores and concentrates from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that this generated $5.2 million in export revenue for the country.
The data shows that this figure represents an increase of 3,600 tons, or 20.3 times, in volume, and a rise of $4.9 million, or 15.4 times, in value compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan exported only 186 tons of such products in the first quarter of 2024, valued at $339,000. Copper ores and concentrates represented 0.76 percent of the country’s total exports during the reporting period.
