BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 13. Azerbaijan exported 3.1 billion cubic meters of gas to Türkiye from January through April 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Ministry of Energy indicates that this marks a decrease of 100 million cubic meters or 3.1 percent compared to the same period in 2024 (3.2 billion cubic meters).
Azerbaijan produced a total of 16.7 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas from January through April 2025. It is pertinent to highlight that during the reporting interval, the gas output comprised 4.5 bcm from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli complex, 9 bcm from the Shah Deniz reservoir, 0.5 bcm from the Absheron field, and approximately 2.7 bcm attributed to SOCAR operations.
Regarding exports, Azerbaijan sold a total of 8 billion cubic meters of natural gas abroad during the reporting period. Of this, 4 billion cubic meters were sold to Europe, 3.1 billion cubic meters to Turkey (including 1.9 billion cubic meters through the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP)), and 0.9 billion cubic meters to Georgia.
