BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 19. Passenger car production in Azerbaijan witnessed a significant increase from January through April 2025, with a total of 1,824 units manufactured.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that this figure is nearly double the amount produced during the same period of the previous year, reflecting an increase of 876 units, or 92.4 percent.
In contrast, production of freight vehicles in the same four-month period dropped sharply, with only 33 units manufactured, representing a decrease of 7.7 times compared to the corresponding months of 2024.
Furthermore, the number of tractors produced in the country declined to 199 units, down by 34, or 14.6 percent, year-on-year.
