BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 3. Azerbaijan exported 94.7 million cubic meters of natural gas to Serbia from January through March of this year.
The data obtained by Trend from the Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee shows that the revenue from this volume of natural gas exports reached $46.5 million.
The gas exports to Serbia increased by 82.5 million cubic meters, or 7.8 times in volume terms, and by $41.9 million, or 10.1 times in value terms, compared to the first quarter last year (12.2 million cubic meters worth $4.6 million).
In total, Azerbaijan exported 5.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas worth $82.2 million in the first quarter of this year. Additionally, 145.6 million cubic meters of natural gas worth $22.4 million were imported to Azerbaijan in January 2025.
Over this period, Azerbaijan exported natural gas to Georgia, Serbia, Türkiye, Bulgaria, Italy, and Greece, while imports came from Russia and Turkmenistan.
