BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 8. Azerbaijan exported 18,500 tons of methanol (methyl alcohol) to Slovenia from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that revenues from these exports totaled $5.6 million, reflecting a significant increase of 53.3 percent compared to the same period last year. While the volume of methanol shipped decreased slightly by 106 tons or 0.6 percent, the export value rose by $1.9 million.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan exported 18,600 tons of methanol to Slovenia, generating $3.7 million in revenue in the same period last year.
Overall, from January through March, Azerbaijan exported 90,700 tons of methanol abroad, earning a total of $28.2 million. Methanol exports during the reporting period reached destinations including Israel, Türkiye, Bulgaria, Romania, Gibraltar, Italy, Slovenia, and Greece.
