BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 10. Azerbaijan exported 4,150 tons of methanol (methyl alcohol) to Romania from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that revenue from these exports totaled $1.35 million.
Compared to the same period last year, methanol exports to Romania decreased by 6,200 tons, or by a factor of 2.5, while revenue fell by $700,000, representing a decline of 34.1 percent.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan had exported 10,350 tons of methanol to Romania, valued at $2.05 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.
In total, Azerbaijan exported 90,700 tons of methanol in the first three months of the year, generating $28.2 million in export revenue.
Methanol exports during the reporting period were directed to countries including Israel, Türkiye, Bulgaria, Romania, Gibraltar, Italy, Slovenia, and Greece.
