TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 17. As of May 1, 2025, there are 4,043 joint ventures and 11,964 foreign-owned enterprises operating in Uzbekistan.
Data obtained by Trend from the country's National Statistical Committee represents a 1.3-fold increase in the total number of foreign enterprises compared to 2021.
The year-on-year growth is clearly reflected in the following figures:
- 2021: 5,848 joint ventures and 6,639 foreign-owned enterprises
- 2022: 6,117 joint ventures and 7,760 foreign-owned enterprises
- 2023: 5,057 joint ventures and 7,932 foreign-owned enterprises
- 2024: 4,627 joint ventures and 9,851 foreign-owned enterprises
- 2025: 4,043 joint ventures and 11,964 foreign-owned enterprises
Despite a marginal contraction in the volume of joint ventures
since 2021, there has been a robust and pronounced escalation in
the proliferation of foreign-owned enterprises, which have nearly
experienced a twofold increase over the preceding five-year
period.
This positive trajectory underscores Uzbekistan's tactical
initiatives to enhance economic modernization, optimize investment
frameworks, and fortify global alliances.
