BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 19. Azerbaijan's net financial assets increased by $1.2 billion in the first quarter of this year.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows that
this figure emerged as a result of outbound direct investments
totaling -$144.1 million, portfolio allocations amounting to
-$629.2 million, and miscellaneous investment activities reflecting
-$694.5 million.
Throughout the reporting interval, the nation's net financial
obligations experienced a contraction of $45.1 million,
attributable to foreign direct investments (-$239.6 million), oil
revenue bonuses (-$450.2 million), portfolio allocations (-$4.7
million), and various other investment streams (-$251 million).
