TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 21. Small businesses in Uzbekistan significantly contributed to the country’s transport sector in the first quarter of 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the country’s National Statistical Committee shows that the volume of transport services provided by small enterprises reached 20.6 trillion soums ($1.87 billion) between January and March, representing 51.1 percent of the total transport services market.
The data indicates steady growth over the past three years. In the same period of 2023, the volume stood at 11.93 trillion soums ($1.08 billion), rising to 16.57 trillion soums ($1.50 billion) in 2024, and peaking at 20.63 trillion soums ($1.88 billion) in 2025.
This upward trend highlights the increasing role of small enterprises in Uzbekistan’s transport infrastructure and their growing impact on the national economy.
