ASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 24. The gross value added in Uzbekistan’s transportation and storage sector reached 21.1 trillion soums ($1.69 billion) in January–March 2025.
According to data obtained by Trend from the National Statistics Committee, this represents a 10.5 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024.
The consistent upward trajectory underscores the sector's robust
dynamism, as GVA escalates from 12.99 trillion soums ($1.04
billion) in Q1 2023 to 16.91 trillion soums ($1.35 billion) in 2024
and subsequently to 21.05 trillion soums ($1.68 billion) in
2025.
The trajectory of growth metrics is indicative of a pronounced
upward momentum: 109.6 percent for the fiscal year 2023, escalating
to 111.5 percent in 2024, and stabilizing at 110.5 percent in
2025.
The data elucidates the escalating significance of the
transportation and storage sector within Uzbekistan's economic
framework, highlighting its pivotal contribution to the enhancement
of logistics and infrastructural paradigms nationwide.
