BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 26. Non-life insurance collections of Azerbaijan's insurance companies amounted to 177.6 million ($104.5 million) from January through May 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows that this figure grew by 12.6 million manat ($7.4 million), or 7.6 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
In the interim, during the specified reporting timeframe, the
aggregate volume of non-life insurance disbursements reached 54.3
million manat ($32 million), reflecting an increment of 2.9 million
manat ($1.7 million), equating to a 5.6 percent uptick compared to
the corresponding quintet of months from the previous fiscal
year.
It is noteworthy that the insurance sector in Azerbaijan has
reported a total accumulation of insurance premiums amounting to
719.35 million manat ($424.4 million) during the January to May
timeframe of the current fiscal year. This reflects an increase of
75.6 million manat ($44.6 million), translating to a growth rate of
11.7 percent when juxtaposed with the corresponding period in
2024.
Simultaneously, during the initial quintet of months in 2025, the
regional insurance entities disbursed indemnity claims totaling
314.788 million manat ($185.7 million). This denotes a
year-over-year escalation of 40.5 million manat ($23.9 million),
translating to a 14.8 percent uptick.
