BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 26. Azerbaijan's Interbank Card Center (ICC) processed 72 million payment transactions totaling 3.3 billion manat ($1.95 billion) as of June 1, 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows that
the aggregate volume experienced an uptick of 21.7 million units,
reflecting a robust growth rate of 43.1 percent, while the monetary
value escalated by 944 million manat, approximately translating to
$558 million, corresponding to a 39.9 percent increase relative to
the analogous timeframe in 2024.
Furthermore, as of June 1 of the current fiscal year, the ICC has
executed a total of 26,800 financial transactions, aggregating to a
substantial sum of $6.7 million. This represents a surge of 5,600
transactions, equating to a 26.4 percent escalation in volume,
alongside a monetary increment of $1.4 million, also reflecting a
26.4 percent uptick in amount, year-on-year.
Furthermore, as of the aforementioned date, the center executed
14,700 financial transactions aggregating to 1.9 million euros. In
juxtaposition to the corresponding timeframe of the preceding year,
this signifies a contraction of 151,100 transactions, equating to
an 11.3-fold reduction in volume, alongside a decrement of 3.4
million euros, representing a 2.8-fold decline in monetary
value.
