ASTANA, Kazakhstan, June 30. The share of domestic value in the procurement of goods, works, and services by NC KazMunayGas over the first five months of 2025 amounted to 75 percent.
The data obtained by Trend from the KazMunayGas indicates that this figure stood at 81 percent last year (in 5M2024).
“Special attention is given to supporting domestic production through the mechanism of offtake contracts and the conclusion of long-term agreements. Since the launch of the Import Substitution Program, 420 offtake contracts have been signed for a total of about 76.8 billion tenge (approx. $145.92 million), including 63 offtake contracts worth 14.3 billion tenge (approx. $27.17 million) in 2025,” the information notes.
Moreover, the signing of long-term contracts will ensure sustainable loading of domestic production capacities and a guaranteed market for the products, as well as contribute to improving the social situation in the regions where the company operates. At the same time, the conclusion of offtake contracts will support the creation of new manufacturing facilities and new jobs within Kazakhstan.
In 2024, KazMunayGas signed 76 long-term contracts worth 24.9 billion tenge (approx. $47.31 million). In just the first five months of 2025, 86 such contracts have already been signed, totaling 33.5 billion tenge (approx. $63.65 million).
