TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 30. Uzbekistan will launch over 8,000 new projects worth $35 billion in 2025 as part of efforts to boost youth employment and economic development, Trend reports, citing the President's press service.
Speaking at the Youth Day meeting, Mirziyoyev highlighted that 8,300 projects are set to create 292,000 jobs this year alone, with an additional 500,000 jobs planned under future initiatives worth $83 billion. The President emphasized that thousands of enterprises will be launched across key sectors, including $11 billion in oil, gas, and chemistry, $7 billion in mining, and $4.5 billion in electrical and automotive engineering.
The President underscored the growing demand for skilled specialists in emerging industries such as green energy, digital geology, bioengineering, and technological minerals.
He also recalled that at a similar youth meeting in February, the government announced over 40 initiatives and allocated $500 million to support young people in entrepreneurship, education, and employment.
