BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 9. Passenger car production in Iran decreased by 16.9 percent, or 39,290 units, during the first quarter of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through June 21, 2025) compared to the same period last year (from March 20 through June 20, 2024).
The data was obtained by Trend from a report published on codal.ir, operating under the Iranian Securities and Exchange Organization.
Based on the report, Iran’s three main car manufacturers (Irankhodro, Saipa, and Parskhodro) produced 192,725 units of passenger cars during the reporting period.
In the same three-month period of the last Iranian year, these three companies had produced 232,015 units.
To note, the above three companies manufactured 969,450 units of passenger cars in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025), marking a one percent drop compared to the previous year, i.e., from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024 (979,500 units).
