TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 22. Uzbekistan recorded a decrease in the production and extraction volumes of several fuel and energy resources in the first half of 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the country’s Statistics Committee indicate that natural gas production amounted to 21.78 billion cubic meters, down 3.1 percent compared to the same period in 2024. A similar trend was observed in the oil sector, with 323,800 tons of oil extracted over six months, representing an 11.2 percent year-on-year decline.
A more significant drop was noted in automobile gasoline production, which fell by 14.8 percent to 575,600 tons.
Meanwhile, positive growth was recorded in the coal industry. Coal production reached 3.07 million tons for the half-year period, exceeding last year’s figure by 16.5 percent.
An increase was also observed in the diesel fuel segment. Uzbekistan produced 557,500 tons of diesel fuel from January through June 2025, marking a 10.4 percent rise compared to the same period in 2024.
