Tashkent, Uzbekistan, July 31. A total of 5,323,700 passengers were transported by rail from January to June 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the National Statistics Committee indicates
that this metric experienced an uptick of 280,800 travelers,
translating to a 5.6 percent escalation relative to the
corresponding timeframe in 2024.
In the interim, an aggregate of 51.6 million metric tons of
principal cargo classifications were conveyed via Uzbekistan's
state-operated primary rail infrastructure during the period
spanning January to June 2025.
In the fiscal year 2024, the aggregate throughput of principal
cargo classifications transiting through Uzbekistan’s public
railway infrastructure attained a substantial 73.9 million
tons.
