TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 25. From January to July 2025, over 51,000 new enterprises and organizations were registered in the country, Trend reports, citing data from the National Statistics Committee.
The figure represents a slight increase compared to the same period last year. The largest number of new businesses was established in Tashkent city (11,175), followed by the Tashkent (5,005), Khorezm (4,640) and Fergana (4,288) regions. Samarkand (3,809), Kashkadarya (3,211) and Surkhandarya (2,999) were also among the more active regions.
Smaller volumes were recorded in Bukhara (2,880), Andijan (2,689), Namangan (2,626), and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (2,370). The lowest figures came from Jizzakh (2,193), Navoi (2,006) and Syrdarya (1,268) regions.
Uzbekistan has seen steady growth in business activity in recent years, reflecting both state-led support for entrepreneurship and rising private sector interest across the regions.
