BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 28. Azerbaijan’s voluntary insurance market recorded collections of 716.3 million manat ($421.3 million) from January through July 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank (CBA) indicates that this represents an increase of 92.6 million manat ($54.4 million), or 14.8 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
Concurrently, disbursements for elective coverage reached 80.5
million manat ($47.3 million) in the designated timeframe,
reflecting an increase of 81.9 million manat ($48.1 million), or
22.3 percent, compared to the previous fiscal year.
It is noteworthy that the insurance sector in Azerbaijan amassed a
total of 937.6 million manat (equivalent to $551.5 million) in
premium collections during the period spanning January to July
2025. This metric stands at 104.4 million manat ($61.4 million),
reflecting a 12.5 percent increase compared to the corresponding
timeframe of 2024.
At the same time, in the first seven months of 2025, Azerbaijani insurance companies collected 529.3 million manat ($311.3 million) in insurance premiums. This is 90.7 million manat ($53.3 million), or 20.7 percent, more than the same period last year.
