BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 16. Azerbaijan’s defense and security expenditures are set at 8.7 billion manat ($5.14 billion) in 2026.
The data obtained by Trend from the Ministry of Finance shows that this is 3.8 percent higher than the approved forecast for 2025.
Meanwhile, a total of 6.6 billion manat ($3.9 billion) was allocated from last year's state budget for defense and national security expenses in Azerbaijan, up 707.4 million manat ($416.3 million), or 12.1 percent compared to 2023.
