ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 26. Kazakhstan’s Minister of Agriculture, Aidarbek Saparov, attended the groundbreaking of a new agricultural machinery assembly plant in Zhambyl Region, with additional projects planned for irrigation equipment production, Trend reports via the country's Ministry of Agriculture.
The investor in the project is Kaz FM World Agriculture Machinery (China). The cost of the plant, with a capacity of 2,000 units of machinery per year, will amount to 3 billion tenge (approx. $5.4 million).
The plant is expected to produce 8 models of tractors, as well as rice and cotton harvesters, trailers, and seeders.
Moreover, the industrial zone is planning to implement projects in the field of water-saving technologies.
For example, a new project by the company Akplas includes the construction of a plant to produce irrigation equipment capable of watering up to 200,000 hectares per year.
Another significant project will be the construction of a plant by Hualing Group Co., Ltd. (China) for the production of sprinkler irrigation machines.
The investment in this project will amount to 10 billion tenge (approximately $18 million), with an annual production of 200 machines.
