BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 9. Iran will begin the construction of 4,000-apartment buildings in Tehran, over the next month, Deputy Director of Housing Foundation of Islamic Revolution Hamidreza Sohrabi said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
Sohrabi noted that the Housing Foundation of Islamic Revolution is currently implementing a memorandum of understanding on the construction of 10,000-apartment buildings together with the Tehran municipality.
The deputy added that the foundations of 6,000-apartment buildings have already been laid in the 18th district of Tehran.
On February 26, 2022, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Housing Foundation of Islamic Revolution and Tehran municipality. As a result of the memorandum, the foundations of 3,000-apartment buildings were laid in March, 2022, and other 3,000-apartment buildings - in July, 2022.
