By Elena Kosolapova - Trend: Kazakh National Maritime Shipping Company Kazmortransflot received record profit of 1.249 billion tenge (183.53 tenge = $1) in January-June 2014, the company reported on July 23.
It is the record profit since the start of the company's operation.
Meanwhile, during the same period of 2013 the company had a net loss of 314, 486 million tenge.
The National Maritime Shipping Company Kazmortransflot LLP was created in 1998 by the resolution of Kazakh government.
Kazakh National Oil and Gas Company KazMunaiGas holds 100 percent of its share package.
The main purpose of Kazmortransflot is development of Kazakh national merchant marine fleet and the organization of the international shipping of domestic freights by own forces.
Four subsidiaries companies - Kazmortransflot Ltd., Kazmortransflot UK Ltd, Altai Shipping Ltd and Alatau Shipping Ltd. are included in Kazmortransflot LLP.
