In January-July 2016, 272 trucks were manufactured in Azerbaijan, that is, 49.5 percent more than in the same period of 2015, said a State Statistics Committee report on the first seven months of 2016.
Azerbaijan produced 602 tractors during the period, or, 1.3 percent less than in the same period of 2015.
During the period, 107 cars were manufactured in the country, which is 67.1 percent less than in January-July 2015.
Meanwhile, the output of special-purpose municipal vehicles increased by 93.6 percent and was 842 as compared to January-July 2015.
In January-July 2016, Azerbaijan produced 138 trailers and semi-trailers for cargo traffic, that is, by 10.4 percent more than in the same period of 2015.
Azerbaijan has two vehicle plants – one in Nakhchivan and the other one in Ganja.
