Uzbek Akhangarancement enterprise, which is part of the Eurocement Group holding, increased the volume of cement production to 175,024 tons in May 2018, which is 4,524 tons more than in May 2017, the Uzbek company said in a statement.
The volume of clinker production was 130,060 tons in May 2018, which is 838 tons more compared to May 2017.
The enterprise shipped 175,826 tons of cement, which exceeds the shipment of May 2017 by 3,893 tons. There is also a tendency of increasing sales of packed products: the volume of cement shipment in branded paper bags amounted to 37,190 tons of, exceeding figures of 2017 by 8,370 tons.
“The enterprise strictly adheres to the strategy aimed at reducing the cost of manufactured products in conditions of tough competitive environment in the region. Increasing the efficiency of the main technological equipment, transport equipment, developing and implementing programs to increase production, optimize the use of heat energy resources, and timely and high-quality repair campaign are aimed primarily at providing the construction industry of Uzbekistan with high-quality products during the high construction season,” General Director of the company Gennady Kulikov said.
According to him, increasing production in May 2018 is the result of this work.
The general director added that the company is also aimed at preserving the positive dynamics in the future.
