For today, the most relevant sectors for investing in Uzbekistan are industrial production, agriculture and private business, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzbek Orient Finance private joint-stock commercial bank (PJSCB) Ilham Tursunov told Trend.
He said that the growth of industrial production and the agricultural sector as a result of investments acquires special significance in the dynamics of the population’s employment ratio.
“Full employment will improve the situation in the labor market and create equilibrium for the economically active population,” he noted. “With the creation of new jobs, the growth in the employment ratio will undoubtedly contribute to stable economic growth. Industrial production grows, the agricultural and private sector develops, business activity increases, and of course, this entails an increase in GDP.”
In general, the development of monetary policy in the long term is an important process for regulating stable operation of the financial market, Tursunov said.
On June 13, 2018, the international rating agency S&P Global Ratings confirmed the long-term and short-term credit ratings of the issuer of the Uzbek Orient Finance PJSCB at the level of “B-/B” with the “stable” forecast.
