Products worth 94.5 million manats were produced by metallurgical companies in Azerbaijan in January-February 2019, Trend reports with reference to the country’s State Statistics Committee.
The report says the volume of output of metallurgical industry decreased by 8.9 percent while the production of finished goods decreased by 12.4 percent in January-February 2019.
Azerbaijan produced 49,700 tons of fittings in January-February 2019, which is almost 1.9 percent more than in January-February 2018.
In January-February 2019, 2,200 tons of steel pipes were produced in Azerbaijan, that is by 76.5 percent less than in January-February 2018.
The volume of steel casting production stood at 57,800 tons in January-February 2019, which is almost 4.1 percent less than in January-February 2018.
Azerbaijan exported 1,605.8 tons of ferrous metal pipes worth $1.23 million in January-February 2019, which is by 60.3 percent less (by 64.4 percent more in money terms) than in January-February 2018.
