According to the foreign trade statistics of Iranian Customs, dates worth $307 million were exported during the 11 months of the previous Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), Trend reports referring to ISNA.
Iran exported 274,000 tons of dates in 11 months.
Overall, Iranian dates were exported to 85 countries over the past year.
Mozafati dates are among the most popular cultivars of dates to be exported. Thus, their exports made up 112,000 tons, or 40 percent, of the total export of dates for the 11-month period, and its worth exceeded $157 million.
As such, the price of 1 kilo of Iranian dates exported for the past year was $1.12.
