Cargo transportation by marine and coastal transport in Kazakhstan in March 2019 amounted to 76,500 tons, which is 68.2 percent less than in March 2018, Trend reports via Kazakh media.
“Compared to the same period of 2018 cargo transportation in March 2019 decreased by 55.6 percent reaching 73.6 million tkm. Total volume of cargo transportation income in March decreased by 51.9 compared to the previous year and amount to 307.8 million tenge,” reads the message.
“Kazakh company Kazmotransflot transported 2,480,000 tons of oil, which accounts for 90 percent of the targeted 2,769,000 tons. Some 17 percent (137,000 tons) accounts for the ships from Turkmenistan, 45 percent (896,000 tons) accounts for ships from Aktau port. Furthermore, some 1,447,000 tons of oil was transported by Kazakh fleet to Baku,” the report said.
“In three months of 2019 the cargo transportation profit amounted to 967.5 million tenge, which is 45.7 percent less than in the same period of last year,’ said the statement.
“In 2018 total volume of the transportation profit totaled 5.4 billion tenge, which is 7.3 percent less than in 2017,” the report stated.
