A workshop for the production of precipitated calcium carbonate has been opened at the building materials plant in Magdanly city of the Lebap region of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
This product has a wide range of applications: for the production of high-quality paper, plastics, rubber products.
It is also used in the manufacture of toothpaste, cosmetics, in the pharmaceutical industry.
Adding precipitated calcium carbonate during the production of paints allows stabilizing the composition and, as a result, improving the quality of building materials: increasing the gloss and brightness, the mechanical properties of coatings. Precipitated calcium carbonate will be obtained from local raw materials - limestone mined in the quarries of the eastern region of Turkmenistan.
Since the launch of the reactors, over 12 tons of fillers for the production of emulsion paints have been manufactured, the article said. Previously, almost the entire volume was purchased by state and private enterprises abroad.
