Assets of Azerbaijan’s Atabank have decreased by 1.7 percent in the second quarter of 2019, Trend reports with reference to the financial report of the bank.
The bank’s total assets as of July 1 this year amounted to 571.239 million manats. The main share (65.9 percent) in the structure of assets accounts for the loan portfolio, the volume of which, after deducting target reserves of 38.204 million manats, amounted to 376.654 million manats, which is 2.3 percent less than last year’s figure. The volume of loans issued to other banks amounted to 8.427 million manats.
During the reporting period, the bank completely reduced the volume of deposits in other banks, amounting to 7.82 million manats, leaving deposits in other financial institutions in the amount of 2.215 million manats. The balances on correspondent and “nostro” accounts for the reporting period decreased almost twice to 4.831 million manats.
The volume of cash and cash equivalents increased by 11.5 percent to 10.057 million manats. Investments in securities remained unchanged over the year, amounting to 15 million manats.
The volume of fixed assets in the form of real estate and equipment amounted to 70.819 million manats, which is 2.4 percent more than last year.
During the reporting period, the volume of total liabilities decreased by 2.3 percent, which amounted to 428.59 million manats. In the structure of liabilities, about 72 percent accounts for deposits worth 307.491 million manats. The volume of deposits of individuals increased by 15 percent to 19.982 million manats.
Liabilities to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan decreased by 5 million manats to 15 million manats.
Loans from other financial institutions, including banks, decreased by 1.5 percent, reaching 90.219 million manats.
During the reporting period, the bank’s own capital decreased slightly by 1.24 percent to 142.648 million manats. The share capital together with retained earnings amounted to 135.032 million manats. The remaining amount is related to capital reserves.
