Waste sorting complex, which uses equipment of Belarus, has been launched in Kazakhstan’s Atyrau region, Trend reports with reference to the regional communications service.
At the complex, sorting of seven types of waste is possible. During the first stage, the waste is loaded to the bunker, then via inclined conveyor it goes to the sorting belt inside a cabin, where the sorting of fractions of waste is being done. Non-combustible fractions will be utilized.
The conveyor has containers for sorted waste along its entire length. In order to improve the waste sorting work, containers for separate waste collecting will be installed all around the city, with an overall objective to improve the environmental situation.
The territory of Atyrau’s garbage dump equals to 1,200 square meters. Every day, 250-300 tons of waste get dumped there.
“The complex was purchased via a private investor from Sifania-Ecotechnika company of Belarus. The purchased equipment is to sort up to 100,000 tons of solid waste a year. Currently, 35 people work at the complex,” the statement said.
