In January-July 2019, Azerbaijan exported 230,819.7 tons of cement to Georgia , which is 25,934.7 tons or 12.6 percent more compared to the same period of the last year, Trend reports referring to Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).
The total cost of cement imported from Azerbaijan in first seven months of 2019 was $12.80 million.
In January-July 2018, Georgia purchased from Azerbaijan 204,885 tons of cement worth $10.30 million.
According to Geostat, in January-June 2019, Georgia received 189,758 tons of cement worth $10,6 million from Azerbaijan, which is 8,806 tons more compared to the first half of 2018 (180,952 tons).
The trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan in January-July 2019 amounted to $600.59 million.
The external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to $7,065.3 million in January-July 2019, 0.2 percent lower year-on-year.
