The Azerbaijani company “Sab”, which is engaged in manufacturing of meat and dairy products, is establishing production of new types of halal frankfurters [food prepared according to Islamic law, free from pork products, alcohol and certain other ingredients], a source in the company told Trend.
“Presently, several types of meat products are being developed at the production site,” the source noted. “It is planned to bring five new types of these products to the domestic market by the end of this year. There are plans to increase daily sausage production to 500 kg. The retail price of new types of frankfurters will be 7-10 manats. The products are designed for sale in the domestic market, and in the future, the company expects to start exporting to neighboring countries.”
The new sausage products will appear in the stores of Baku closer to the end of this year.
The company produces 60 types of meat and 50 types of dairy products under the brand “SAB”.
The Sab company’s production plant is located in the city of Khirdalan near Baku.
