The Azerbaijani manufacturer of meat and dairy products, SAB company, has developed a new type of halal (food prepared according to Islamic law, free from pork products, alcohol and certain other ingredients) sausages, a source in the company told Trend.
Before the end of this year, it is planned to introduce the new type of sausages in production, the source said.
“This includes joint manufacture of sausage products,” the source noted. “It will be manufactured at a local enterprise, under the trademark of a Russian company. The products are intended for export to the Russian market. We plan to start the manufacture of new products in the first months of next year. The planned primary production volumes aren’t big, but will be increased, as the supply and demand grow in the Russian market.”
The source added that the joint product will be produced under the brand name of a well-known Russian company.
“The Russian company is working on the design of the new product, and the work in this direction should be completed before the end of this year,” the source said.
In addition to sausage products, the company also manufactures dairy products.
The company’s dairy products are sold in Baku and regions of Azerbaijan in the Bravo retail chain.
The company produces 60 types of meat and 50 types of dairy products under the SAB brand name.
The company’s production facilities are located in Azerbaijan’s Khirdalan city.
