Iran’s MAPNA Turbine Engineering and Manufacturing Company (TUGA) has produced an F-Class electric turbine, TUGA Managing Director Majid Bahmani said, Trend reports via IRNA.
Bahmani said that a 307-megawatt turbine will be installed at Do Kuhe power plant in the Andimeshk district of Khuzestan province.
With the commissioning of such turbines, electricity production at power plants operating on gas will increase by 40 percent, and electricity production at power plants operating on two fuels will increase by 59 percent, the director added.
Bahmani noted that the turbine was manufactured using knowledge and technology brought by the German Siemens Company in Iran.
“TUGA company has so far signed 12 contracts for the production of this type of turbines,” the director said.
Bahmani noted that last Iranian year (March 21, 2018 - March 21, 2019), a 43 megawatt MGT 40 turbine was produced and is operating at a power plant in Zahedan city.
